    ANNOUNCEMENT. . .

    Mary E. Paglione (1931-2025)

    Mary E. Paglione, 94, of Bluffton, SC, passed away on August 23, 2025. She was a native of Florence, NJ until 2001 when she relocated with her husband Sam to St. Lucie West, Florida. In 2019 she returned to NJ before moving to Bluffton, SC in 2024.

    Mary graduated from Florence Township High School in 1948. She married Samuel O. Paglione of Trenton, NJ in 1951. She was a dedicated and an involved mother who held offices on the PTAs of Holy Assumption, Roebling School, and Holy Coss High School. She also assisted her husband in his Real Estate Agency as a Licensed Real Estate Associate and Office Manager.

    Preceded in death by Samuel, her husband of 61 years; son, Thomas A. Paglione; parents. J. Arthur Foulks and Emma F. Foulks (nee Lowden); sisters Ruth F. Conley and Naomi C. Mullenax; brothers Arthur F. Foulks and Ralph L. Foulks.

    Survived by her son Samuel O. Paglione, Jr. (Michelle); daughters Christine Van de Griend (Bart), Teresa J. Paglione (Leslie Peck), and Lisa C. Tourlitis (Marco); daughter in law Kimberly Paglione (wife of the late Thomas). Also surviving are grandchildren Bridget Winnering (Keith), Erin Langfeld (Bruce), Bryan M. Paglione, Joseph Paglione (Kristina), Ian S. Bell (Zorah), Alexis S. Palmer (Michael), Taryn Paglione, Thomas J. Paglione (Stefanie), Nicole Tourlitis, Andrew Tourlitis, Samuel Tourlitis, along with 15 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.

    Mary was a member of St. Clare's Church, Florence, St. Clare's Choir and Altar-Rosary Society. Active in the Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernian (L.A.O.H.) for over 80 years, she was a member of Division #3 Burlington County, and held offices in the Division, County, State and National Boards of the L.A.O.H., and then attained the office of National President from 1996-1998. While in the Florida L.A.O.H., she served as Division #1 President, St Lucie County and State Historian. Other community affiliations included: Florence Township Community Singers, Cinnaminson Chorus, Trenton Diocesan Choir, GFWC Port St. Lucie Woman's Club and St. Bernadette Council #13042 Columbiettes. Mary became a member of the Moorestown Chapter, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR) in 2024.

    Visitation will be on Saturday, August 30, 2025, from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Koschek-Mancuso Funeral Home, 1115 Hornberger Avenue, Roebling, New Jersey 08554.

    Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, August 30, 2025, at 10:30 AM in the Holy Assumption Catholic Church, 1290 Hornberger Avenue, Roebling, New Jersey 08554, with Fr. Martin O'Reilly officiating.

    Interment will follow in the Calvary-St. Clare Cemetery 200-398 East 9th Street, Florence, New Jersey 08518.

    Memorial contributions may be made to Mary, Mother of the Church Parish (Holy Assumption) 45 Crosswicks Street, Bordentown, New Jersey 08505, or a charity of your choice.

    Saturday, September 13, 2025, 49th Annual Commodore John Barry Commemoration
    This event will be held on Saturday, September 13th at 9 AM at the base of the Commodore John Barry Bridge in Bridgeport, NJ for the 49th Annual Wreath Laying ceremony. Free parking is available next to the Delaware River Port Authority Administration Building. A Mass will follow at St. Matthew's Church, 4th Street & Monmouth Avenue, National Park, NJ. Light refreshments will be served after Mass at the Fort Mercer Club, 200 Columbia Blvd, National Park, NJ.

    National President Mary Ann Lubinsky is holding an Interim Board Meeting and Presidential Dinner on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at the Penn Harris Hotel in Camp Hill, PA.     Friday, September 26, 2025, The Irish Community of Greater Trenton - Halfway to St. Patrick's Day Meeting
    After a very successful 2025 St Patrick's Day season, we are going to continue our efforts, which began in June 2024 with our first coordinating meeting. Fr Martin has offered his facilities at St Mary's Church School Hall, 45 Crosswicks Street, Bordentown, NJ to host our next meeting on Friday, September 26 at 6PM and we hope that you can make it.

    Please join the New Jersey and Pennsylvania AOH & LAOH onboard the Battleship New Jersey as we respectfully honor Commodore John Barry, the US Navy's First Commissioned Officer, to celebrate the Navy's 250th Anniversary.     Saturday, October 11, 2025, LAOH Camden County Division 1 - 25th Anniversary Celebration
    You are invited to attend Mass and a luncheon celebrating the 25th Anniversary of LAOH Camden County Division 1 on Saturday, October 11, 2025. AOH Gloucester County Division 1 will also be celebrating their 35th Anniversary along with the LAOH. The celebration will be held at Vitale's Italian Bistro, 942 9th Street, Gloucester City, NJ. Mass will be celebrated by Father Ken Hallahan at 11 AM. Luncheon follows. Cost is $40. All reservations must be made by October 1. See flyer for more details.

    Cape May County will be hosting the NJ LAOH State Board meeting at the Knights of Columbus, 206 N. New York Avenue, Wildwood, NJ 08260. We will be continuing our "Tricky Tray," please bring a gift valued between $10- $15 to be raffled off. Please send your reports to LAOH State President Jake Kenna by October 19, 2025.
