    ANNOUNCEMENT. . .

LAOH NJ Past State President, Rose Margaret Langan, November 12, 1932 - September 5, 2024

Rose Margaret Langan (nee Dall), affectionately known as "Pal" passed away peacefully on September 5, 2024, at JFK Medical Center, Edison. Rose was born in Perth Amboy to the late John Dall and Margaret Dall (nee Cahill). As a child she moved to Fords where she graduated from Woodbridge High School. For several years Rose worked as a supervisor at Bell Telephone. That was until she met her late husband Robert Langan Sr. They settled in Perth Amboy where Rose gave birth to her beloved sons, Robert Langan Jr (Mag), and the late James "Jay" Langan. She was a dedicated and loving mother whose pride and joy were her children. Her other source of joy was her adored grandchildren, Matthew Cahill Langan, Aibrean Choi Langan, and Jecenia Rose Langan. Rose loved to dote on them, and they had many wonderful times together.

Rose was very active in and dedicated to various clubs and organizations. She was former State President of the Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians and was a former member of the Ladies AOH Commodore John Barry Division, Perth Amboy until it moved to the Ladies AOH Col. David B. Kelly Division #1, South Amboy. She served in many leadership roles as part of the Fords Women's Club. Her faith was strengthened through her years of service with the Catholic Daughters and a member of the Rosarians of Good Shepherd Parish, Holy Rosary Church, Hopelawn.

Rose had a true nomadic spirit and loved to visit both new and familiar places. Her stories of her journeys were legendary, and she never tired of finding new experiences. Rose was a woman who believed in living life to the fullest, and she did just that.

She is survived by her sister Elizabeth Nelson of Port Orange Florida. She was preceded in death by her brothers Dr. John Dall, Thomas Cahill Dall, and Marguerite Labadessa. She also leaves behind many dear nephews and nieces as well as lifelong friends and neighbors.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 10, 2024, from 9 AM to 10 AM at Flynn and Son / Mitruska Funeral Home, 23 Ford Avenue, Fords. We will begin to leave at 10 AM for a 10:30 AM Mass at Good Shepherd Parish. Interment will be in Alpine Cemtery, Perth Amboy.
